Jamie Crispin

Kansas Volunteer Commission
Deputy Director
Topeka, KS
Jamie Crispin believes in the power of civic engagement and has always been an advocate of change through volunteering. She earned her Bachelors of Arts in Spanish from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Masters in Arts in Sociology from the University of Warwick in England.
After college, Mrs. Crispin was a Team Leader for AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) and taught English as a Foreign Language as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine. These experiences allowed her to see the impact volunteerism can have in our communities and on our own personal development.

Since then, Mrs. Crispin has worked for AmeriCorps NCCC, United Way of Greater Topeka, Kansas Children’s Discovery Center and Baker University where she has been able to enact change by engaging volunteers and students. Currently, she is the Outreach and Engagement Coordinator at the Kansas Volunteer Commission where she helps organizations build their capacity through training and funding opportunities.

She is one of twelve individuals who have earned the Certification in Volunteer Administration (CVA) in Kansas. She is proud to be Chair for the City of Topeka Human Relations Commission and the President of the Managers of Volunteer Engagement (MOVE) of Topeka. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to true crime podcasts and chasing her two sons through life.
